Year 4 Visit Dudley Zoo

Year 4 Visit Dudley Zoo

Children looking at a tigerOn Wednesday 22nd April, our Year 4 pupils enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to Dudley Zoo, supporting their History learning about the life and work of Sir David Attenborough.

During the day, children were thrilled to see a wide range of animals up close, including giraffes, lions, tigers, penguins, and lemurs. Pupils learned how these animals are cared for and how zoos play an important role in conservation and protecting endangered species, themes closely linked to Sir David Attenborough’s work and legacy.Children pointing at a fact file

The visit brought learning to life, helping pupils deepen their understanding of the natural world while inspiring curiosity and thoughtful discussions back in the classroom. Year 4 represented the school brilliantly, showing enthusiasm, excellent behaviour, and a real interest in wildlife throughout the day.

A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make this memorable learning experience possible.
